I recently paid the deposit for the Across America North tour next summer.  Thirty three years ago, I crossed the country from east to west on a bicycle in my 28th year.  This year I will cross the country from west to east on a bicycle in my 61st year.  We leave Astoria, Oregon on June 16.

I've had my bike, an Eddy Merckx Corsa, since 1984.  Now I have a new bike, a Colnago EPQ.  My training plan is to ride 3000 miles by the end of May.  The mileage so far is only 550 but it's still winter.
