I seem to be part of a trend with a label.  So says an article published by the Guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/sep/11/mamil-middle-aged-men-in-lycra.  It refers to this source published by the BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-10965608.  The Guardian article is followed by hundreds of mostly harsh, contemptuous comments about the ugliness of cycling clothing and the extravagance of the bikes.  They seem unaware that cycling clothing is used because it works.
